As life's little twists of fate would have it, while in college she took at job at The Framer's Workroom that would lead to a passion and career in custom framing. In 2008, Kylie acquired ownership of The Framer's Workroom and changed the name to FrameWorks Studio & Gallery. With her artistic edge, Kylie enjoys helping customers find just the right frame to complement their project. She also enjoys meeting and featuring local artists and uses FrameWorks gallery space to curate eclectic seasonal exhibitions.

Joseph Opshinsky

Framing Technician

If you’ve been to FrameWorks, you’ve seen Joe’s cut-paper collages - on top of being an excellent framer, he is also a prolific artist. He attended The University of the Arts with Kylie after receiving his A.F.A from Keystone College, and has had shows all over the city (including the gallery space at FrameWorks). Our History

FrameWorks Studio and Gallery, opened in its present location (21st and Walnut) in 1978 as The Framer's Workroom. For more than 30 years, The Framer's Workroom served Philadelphia and the surrounding area's custom framing needs.

In 2008, ownership transferred to long-time employee, Kylie P. Grant, who envisioned The Framer's Workroom as a Center City destination for artists and art lovers. Transforming the former workroom into a Rittenhouse Square West gallery space, Ms. Grant renamed the business FrameWorks Studio and Gallery in 2010 to reflect the expansion of the shop's mission.

FrameWorks Studio and Gallery remains committed to its longstanding tradition of personal attention and excellence in custom framing, and through rotating exhibitions, FrameWorks Studio and Gallery seeks to support and highlight the vibrant Greater Philadelphia arts community.
